Excellent solution to integrate Slave devices on proprietary ASCii protocols on RS-232/422/485 with other FieldBus and Industrial Ethernet networks.

• Field devices from many vendors support only ASCii protocols with proprietary communication commands or strings. Such devices are networked on either RS-232 or RS-485 or RS-422.
• The Anybus ASCii Communicator is a great solution control and monitor these devices using controllers/PLCs or SCADA which work on other Fieldbus and Industrial Ethernet protocols and cannot directly understand the proprietary ASCii codes.

• The Communicator has a serial interface that is configured to be the master on the serial RS-232/485/422 ASCii bus.
• The Communicator is internally programmed to interpret the incoming ASCii codes and send out appropriate commands in ASCii.
• This master interface reads and writes data to and from the ASCii slave devices.
• The data is stored internally and made available to the other network on requests.
